CHIP Grant Home Rehab Program
The City of Tifton was awarded $400,000 in 2023 and $500,000 in 2025 from DCA to assist eligible low to moderate income homeowners with housing rehabilitation. To be eligible for the grant program applicants must own and occupy their home, be located within the target area, and be able to meet other applicant requirements. Short & Paulk Renaissance Project
The City of Tifton, the Tifton Urban Redevelopment Agency (TURA), and the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) are proud to announce the successful acquisition of the 9.7-acre property located on South Main Street—commonly known as the Short & Paulk Supply Company property. This purchase marks the beginning of a bold and visionary redevelopment initiative termed the Short and Paulk Renaissance Project which will be guided by thoughtful planning, strategic development, and active community input, aiming to bring new life and opportunity to the heart of our city.

Enterprise Zone Incentives
Tifton's Enterprise Zone was designated to encourage revitalization and business investment in the designated area by offering incentives to business owners and property owners. To be eligible for the program, a business or property must be located within the Enterprise Zone and create the minimum number of jobs or make significant property improvements.
